Bride and groom walking away from the camera, documentary wedding photography by Anna phtography

From the very first phone call with Lara and Rich, we hit it off. I think I am drawn to sporty people, and these two are mega sporty! Serious-with-a-capital-S triathletes. Instant respect. And, increasing my fan-girling in every way, straight after the pre-wedding shoot in Richmond Park, Lara put on her cycling gear and went for a spin. Amazing.

As fate would have it, it also turned out that where I used to live in London is exactly the same street they live on now. What are the chances? I was clearly meant to be their wedding photographer ; )

Lara and Rich met at university and Rich now works in accounts for some of London’s best restaurants and Lara will be finishing her PhD this year in climate change and international development. I know. Overachievers.

Being hyper fit, Lara has an incredible figure so I knew when she told me the dress was by Pronovias and she was also wearing some Jimmy Choo’s, she was going to look sensational. And she did.

Before donning the dress, however, she and her bridesmaids were busy hiding eggs around the premises for an Easter egg hunt later in the day. It turned out to be quite a scorcher, so I am not sure what state the eggs were in when they were found later! Hot chocolate most likely. Still, the pictures of them hiding the eggs were fun to capture.

Rich turned up at the venue very chilled, with his best man, George, and together they calmly greeted the 80 guests. The ceremony and speeches all ran smoothly and Lara and Rich’s joint speech went down a treat too.

The limbo and giant Jenga were great touches to get guests mingling. It truly was a fabulous way to start my 2019 wedding season. I so enjoyed working with Lara and Rich and wish them all the best for their new beginnings. Stay in touch guys. Maybe you’ve inspired me to do my first triathlon now. Watch this space!
