Off to the quintessential English countryside of West Sussex where city slickers Kat and Nick had planned – and might I add pulled off in remarkable style – a phenomenal wedding at the dedicated venue Farbridge.
A classic tale of love blossoming between housemates, Kat met Nick when she advertised a flat share. A few months later and the relationship had gone from platonic to passionate.
A lot of thought had gone into this wedding, A LOT. From the stunning floral candelabras on the tables, the intertwined ivy and fairy lights, the absolutely charming cake and a more-than-your-average photobooth guests were entertained in serious style. The best thing, however, especially from behind the camera, were the games set up on the lawn; giant space hoppers, twister with inflatable dice, boules, jenga, pick-up sticks – it was full on sports day, fuelled by champagne!
A stickler for keeping things real, Kat elected her chief bridesmaid to be toast master and she introduced the speeches with aplomb. Nick came in for rather a roasting for his alleged social awkwardness, but all in good taste. A lovely touch was the bride and groom’s joint speech, thanking all those who helped them to host such a wonderful wedding.
The band struck up, playing Jason Mraz’s I’m Yours, Nick and Kat’s elected first dance, and I came away feeling very happy indeed. That’s the thing about weddings, the emotion gets you every time. Congratulations guys, such an awesome day.
